Milwaukee ex-pat Cheryl Pawelski, long a producer of CD reissue projects in the Los Angeles area, has earned her second Grammy nomination for her work on"Woodstock -- 40 Years On: Back To Yasgur's Farm," undertaken while she worked at Rhino Records.

Pawelski, who was among the victims of recent massive layoffs at Rhino, earned the nomination in the "Best Historical Album" category.

She received her first nomination in that category last year for her work on the "Rockin' Bones: 1950's Punk & Rockabilly" box set. In the end, however, that award went to "Art of Field Recording, Volume I: Fifty Years of Traditional American Music."

Pawelski returns home to Brew City a few times each year and most recently made the trip to see Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band at the Bradley Center last month,

Milwaukee's rootin' for you again, Cheryl!

In related news, Silversun Pickups -- who are on Dangerbird Records, the label owned by Milwaukee ex-pat Jeff Castelaz (who you may recall was named Person of the Week last week by ABC World News Tonight) -- were nominated for the Best New Artist Grammy.
