This morning Summerfest officials announced that Manchester Orchestra, Madison's Locksley, Empires, The Loyal Divide and Violetness from Chicago, and L.A.'s Scarlet Grey have been added to the lineup for the Verge Music Festival, June 4-5, on the Summerfest grounds.
Also, starting Friday, April 30 at 6 a.m., 1,021 Verge tickets will go one sale for just $10.21. Visit vergemusicfestival.com and enter code fm1021 to purchase $10.21 tickets while supplies last and before ends Sunday, May 2 at 11:59 p.m. The advance general admission ticket price is regularly $25 for a single day pass and $40 for a two-day pass. Single day admission at the gate is $35.
Also, I was reminded by devoted readers that I neglected to mention that the Bodeans' new record, "Mr. Sad Clown," is out and getting some attention. The band returns home to play at the Marcus Center on Friday, May 28.
This weekend, 2MorroW EvR AfteR -- featuring two members of famed local band Woolton Parrish -- celebrates the release of its new CD at Shank Hall. That show is Saturday, May 1 at 9 p.m. and Slo-Fi, featuring former members of Pet Engine, opens.

Erstwhile Milwaukeean Peter Buffett returns to town June 2 for "Life is What You Make It: A Concert and Conversation with Peter Buffett," at The Pabst. The 6 p.m. event is a benefit for 88Nine Radio Milwaukee. Tickets are $25.
